2010 Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop HSS Boy – 1-of-a-Kind Employee Made Swamp Ash Strat Body

– For your consideration is this c. 2010 Fender Stratocaster style body made by the Fender Custom Shop.
– This 1-of-a-kind 2-piece swamp ash body was made for the floor manager of the Custom Shop at the time. Being more of an ’80s/’90s music enthusiast, he wanted a hot rod build more like that of an Ibanez, Suhr, etc. This is the result of reappropriated swamp ash, with the neck heel carved away for better access to the higher register. Holes were drilled for a more modern vibrato bridge setup, and clearly the pickup orientation is that of an HSS setup. Far less contouring than that on a regular Strat, with the less traditional side route output jack.
– There are no obvious earmarks or stamps proving this body was made in Fender’s Corona Custom Shop.
– This body is HEAVY, weighing 6.2 lbs.
