– For your consideration is this 1984 Electra Westone X695JB vintage electric bass guitar with the original hard case.
– This is an excellent example of a rare and esoteric model which features both a fretted and fretless neck, both of which being interchangeable via (4) hex key (allen bolt) neck screws.
– Made in the Matsumoku factory, this is a very well made instrument. Finished in what the Electra catalog calls “Jet Black,” the stealth-like all black aesthetic features a matte black neck with corresponding matte black body center stripe which is bookended by gloss black body wings, exclusively high gloss plated black metal hardware, and black plastic parts.
– Both necks have a 1 9/16″ nut width. The fretted neck has a neck depth of .800″ at the 1st fret, and .900″ neck depth at the 12th fret. The fretless neck has a neck depth of .775″ at the 1st fret, and a .915″ neck depth at the 12th fret. Both of which feel incredibly comfortable.
– Pickup measurements: 7.95 kOhm Jazz Bass style bridge pickup, 12.37 Precision bass style neck pickup.
