– For your consideration is this vintage 1982 Fender Stratocaster ’62 vintage reissue electric guitar neck.
– It appears that this Fullerton-made ’62 AVRI neck was chipped and damaged at some point during the finishing process and was resultantly never completed. The treble side of the slab board fretboard near the nut was chipped, quite possibly from the installation of the blank nylon nut. The very minimal flaw is repairable, but most certainly qualifies as enough of a flaw to remove it from Fender’s production line.
– It is fretted and pre-drilled for vintage Kluson style tuning machines. It also has 4 holes for the neck plate. It does not have a truss rod/truss rod nut. Very crudely sanded, the neck shape is refined to proper Fender spec., but could use the application of higher grit prior to clear coat.
– Neck measurements: .792″ depth at 1st fret, .867″ depth at 12th fret, 1.647″ nut width
– Weight: 1.0 lb.
