– 1980’s Fender Precision Bass PB-557 ’57 vintage reissue electric bass guitar body.
– The PB-557 designation typically appeared on earlier MIJ ’57 vintage reissue basses, produced between 1984-1987.
– This particular 2-tone sunburst finish example is in very poor cosmetic condition, with a darkened non-original finish, overspray and lots of strange forensic modifications under the finish. Importantly, it has not been sanded, and the contours and neck pocket are structurally perfect and original. Perfect for a project, and ideal for a new custom color finish. Due to the strange anomalies under the current finish, and opaque finish would be ideal.
– It is unmodified otherwise, with no added holes, no enlarged routes, etc.
