– For your consideration is this vintage 1971 Fender Twin Reverb Amp electric guitar amplifier.
– This player’s grade silver panel example, serial number A32043, remains original where most important though it exhibits a series of modifications.
– The amp cabinet is all original and intact with; original black tolex, original back panels, original handle, and all other matching original hardware. The grill cloth has been replaced with an earlier style blue line material. The chrome tilt back legs have been removed.
– Importantly, the chassis retains all (4) original transformers: all of which date to early-1971. In fact, all of the electrical components within the chassis are completely original. The speakers, however, are slightly later replacements, one of which dates to 1977 and the other to 1987. The Accutronics reverb pan is a more modern replacement.
– Nearly all of the tubes are vintage, with the exception of 1 Sovtek preamp tube.
– While this amp works perfectly and sounds great, a typical electrolytic cap replacement is strongly suggested.
– With a little bit of light servicing this will be a wonderful player’s amp.
