– This very nice MIJ Red Label example, serial number T0042102, includes both the original hard case and corresponding original hangtag!
– Acquired from the original owner, this is a fantastic FG-180 is in perfect structural condition with no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The high-E tuning machine was replaced many decades ago, necessitating (2) new holes for the non-original tuner. The tuner post hole was not enlarged.
– There is no visible belly and no sinking of the spruce top. The bridge is securely mounted with no lift whatsoever.
– Maintained with light gauge strings, this is a very well preserved specimen with only that single aforementioned issue.
– Famously played by Elliott Smith, the early FG-180 model is very high quality, and very good sounding: it remains one of the best acoustic guitars for the price.
– Neck measurements: 1.730″ nut width, .828′ neck depth at 1st fret, 1.091″ neck depth at 12th fret.
