– For your consideration is this vintage 1969 Ventura V-1400 electric hollowbody guitar.
– A very well-made lawsuit era Gibson Barney Kessel copy, the V-1400 is an incredible MIJ instrument.
– This early example is incomplete, though ready for restoration and/or modification. The chintzy MIJ tuners were replaced with ’70s gold Schallers: the original tuner holes were filled. The tailpiece and bridge are both absent. The original knobs were replaced with era-appropriate Fender amp knobs. There are no breaks, no cracks, and no repairs outside of the aforementioned tuner holes.
– Made in the Matsumoku factory, this faithful recreation is a highly accurate interpretation with; setneck construction, an open-book Gibson style peghead, a 17″ lower bout width, a body comprised of laminated maple, a slim profile 3-piece maple neck, and a very attractive Cherry Sunburst finish.
– Neck measurements: 1 17/32″ nut width, .760″ depth at 1st fret, .900″ depth at 12th fret
– Pickup measurements: 7.23 kOhm (neck), 1x.xx kOhm (bridge) which is a flawed reading
– Weight: 6.6 lbs.
– It does not include a case.
– The image gallery includes all 39 photos.
