– For your consideration is this matching sequential pair of vintage 1968 Langevin Model-EQ-270-A Graphic Equalizer units.
– This very clean matched pair, serial numbers 0518 and 0519, had all 7 respective plug-in inductor modules professionally cleaned and serviced. Both units are in perfect working order. They include meticulously wired pigtails comprised of Switchcraft XLR and Gotham cabling. A thoughtful attenuation circuit was installed to allow level matching, which is very helpful given the gain loss of passive inductor-based EQs.
– The factory gray paint is in very nice shape, and the units sound particularly great. All red Rolo knobs are original examples, with all being in excellent shape.
– All hardware is original and present, with both units retaining their original phenolic back panels.
– Used in the best recordings studios, the EQ-252-A became synonymous with Motown sound.
– These are some of the best EQs ever made. They are accurate and organic, rendering them incredibly useful as a stereo pair. Whether for a single signal, or for the entire mix, the Langevin EQ-252-A is a must have cornerstone for any recording setup.
