– For your consideration is this vintage pair of 1966 RCA Magnetic Pre Amp MI-10289G1 tube microphone preamplifiers.
– Mounted to the bottom of a vintage ’50s blue studio rack box, these (2) preamps were serviced and wired to a non-matching control panel by Mark Sampson (Matchless) at the request of Aspen Pitman (Groove Tubes).
– This incredible stereo mic pre unit is comprised of a matched stereo set of RCA Magnetic Pre Amp MI-10289G1 microphone pre amplifiers and a Groove Tubes power supply.
– Both preamps feature 3 original GE (General Electric) 12AX7 tubes.
– It includes the original hand-written notes Mark wrote for Aspen.
– Tested in March of 2025, works perfectly and remains studio-ready.
