– For your consideration is this vintage 1966 Mosrite Ventures Mark V electric guitar.
– This very nice 100% all original example, serial number B180, features a classic 3-tone sunburst finish.
– Of the approximately 800 total Mark V Mosrites produced, a mere 200 features the “The Ventures” headstock decal. It’s likely 1/2 of those were custom colors, while a remaining 100 guitars features a sunburst finish.
– The German carve Mark II model, or the “Ventures Model II” as it reads on the peghead, is otherwise identical to its Mark V successor. Aside from the MK II simply preceding the MK V, the two models are quite literally identical in both design, construction, and electrical orientation.
– This is a beautiful instrument in well preserved cosmetic condition. The pickups are perfectly matched: both measuring 7.27 kOhm.
– The guitar is in 100% all original condition aside from one replaced volume pot. The original is included.
– Pickup measurements: 12.81 kOhm (bridge), 13.17 kOhm (neck)
– Neck measurements: .857″ depth at 1st fret, .844″ depth at 12th fret, 1.549″ nut width
– Weight: 7.2 lbs.
