1966 Mosrite The Ventures Model Mark V Vintage Electric Guitar Body – Rare Original ’66 MK V German Carve Ventures II Part Made in Bakersfield CA (B802)

– For your consideration is this vintage 1966 Mosrite The Ventures Model Mark V electric guitar body.
– This particular example, which was separated from the corresponding original neck with serial number B802, is in fair original condition. The original sunburst finish was removed with a simple clear coat being applied over the 4-piece basswood body. The original sunburst finish remains in the neck pocket, neck pickup route, and control cavity.
– The neck pocket is ink stamped “APR 31 1966” and “0001”, with the name “Shirley” hand-written in black pen.
– The bridge cavity appears to be crudely enlarged via chisel. The instrument did have an original post “Vibramute” Moseley vibrato tailpiece, so the reason for the aforementioned modification is unknown. The enlarged cavity is slightly visible with a vintage tailpiece installed: please reference the images of the guitar fully assembled.
– Weight: 3.4 lbs.
– The corresponding neck is mostly original, and has subsequently been listed for sale separately.
