– For your consideration is this vintage 1966 Kalamazoo KG-2A electric solidbody guitar.
– This very clean original example, serial number 900943, is remarkably well-preserved in spite of the wrap-around compensated tailpiece being replaced with a more recent nickel bridge. The original chrome Maestro vibrola has been removed, and the plastic strap pins have been swapped for modern Gibson aluminum examples. While all of these modifications can easily be restored, the guitar works perfectly and looks great as pictured.
– It’s an amazing playing guitar, with virtually fret wear. The neck profile feels incredibly comfortable, and the slab board Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is substantial.
– Neck measurements: 1.553″ nut width, .865″ depth at 1st fret, .947″ depth at 12th fret.
– Pickup measurements: 6.94 kOhm (bridge), 6.91 kOhm (neck).
– Original CTS pots are stamped 137 6620.
– Weight: 6.5 lbs.
– No case.
