– For your consideration is this vintage 1965 Fender Mustang electric guitar with the original salt & pepper hard case.
– This incredibly cool Dakota Red slab board example, serial number L37588, was professionally modified many decades ago with the expert installation of (2) vintage original Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups. In the late ’70s, a previous owner had an accomplished luthier route the body and cut the original pearloid pickguard to accommodate a pair of rare early no-logo Seymour Duncan humbuckers: a desirable blue label ‘The JB Model’ in the neck position and a classic red label ’59N’ in the bridge position. The modifications were executed with precision: the routes are very clean and the pickguard enlargements are crisp.
– Transformed into a Mustang player’s fantasy guitar, this guitar is a dream to play. The Brazilian rosewood slab board neck feels fantastic. The guitar is lightweight and highly resonant allowing the Seymours to scream.
– Neck measurements: 1.647″ nut width, .855″ depth at 1st fret, .983″ depth at 12th fret
– Pickup measurements: 15.75 kOhm (The JB Model in the neck), 7.57 kOhm (The 59N in the bridge)
– Weight: 7.4 lbs.
– Includes original salt and pepper hard case and original vibrato arm whammy bar.
