– For your consideration is this vintage 1965 Fender Electric XII 12-string electric guitar neck.
– This all original example, date stamped “NOV 65”, features an original Olympic White matching peghead.
– The neck retains all original finish, original F-tuner tuning machine ferrules, the original frets, and the original nut. If original parts were re-installed, this neck would present as a completely original and issue free neck.
– This is likely one of the first Fender necks adorned with F-tuners, as the Kluson double-line machine holes were pre-drilled, with those exposed being factory filled with the same filler material found in the pin router holes. Photos, and black light, clearly show these holes were never occupied with the intended screws, unlike those drilled for the F-tuners. Very cool and interesting detail!
– There is evidence of serious playing wear on the back of the neck, which has worn through the original lacquer finish.
– Neck measurements: .837″ depth at 1st fret, .849″ depth at 12th fret, 1.587 nut width
– Weight: 1.2 lbs.
