– For your consideration is this vintage 1963 Concert Amp AA763 4×10″ electric guitar combo amplifier.
– It includes the original brown footswitch and a custom-fitted Tuki cover.
– This very rare early example, serial number A00251, is from production #1 as designated in pen on the tube chart. The chart stamp reads “MI” which denotes a September 1963 completion. It can be deduced from the serial number that this is the 150th Concert ever produced.
– The Schumacher transformers are stamped “606323, 606327, 606336” with “3463” on the original electrolytic capacitors and “3763” on both the chassis and black frame speakers. All dated codes and stamps reflect the components being produced in mid-’63, and the amp being completed in the fall of 1963.
– All (4) of the original Oxford 10K5 speakers retain their original paper cones.
– It has non-original grill cloth, though otherwise remains all original.
– All vacuum tubes are original vintage RCA production.
– It works perfectly and sounds quite good. Despite what the AA763 tube chart indicates, this is a solid state rectified amplifier. The amp is clean and clear with beautiful harmonic overtones. It’s detailed and dimensional with lovely tremolo.
