– For your consideration is this vintage 1962 Gibson GA-40T “Les Paul” 1 x 12″ electric guitar combo amplifier.
– This as-is tweed example, serial number 57091, is in good cosmetic condition, however it is unfortunately incomplete and missing several significant components. Read below.
– The original Jensen speaker is not included. The power transformer was removed, and it appears this amp was never reassembled after undergoing “restoration.”
– Surprisingly, the original tweed covering is in very good all original condition, and it still retains the original matching back panel. The original grill cloth is in great shape as well, although the “Les Paul” badge is missing, and the Gibson logo is present though cracked in half. Both the original hard-wired wooden wedge footswitch and plastic luggage handle with Gibson tweed material are included.
