– For your consideration is this vintage 1961 Fender 6G7-A Bandmaster electric guitar amplifier.
– This incredible Fender piggyback Bandmaster is in 100% all original condition and includes the original Fender speaker cable. An incredibly early version, this rough blonde and Ox blood Bandmaster features a rare short-lived 12″ tone ring speaker cabinet.
– The amp head, serial number 03735, is in completely original condition. The tube chart date stamp appears to read “KE” which would be consistent with all of the date codes found within the amp. Transformer date codes read 606107 and 606117. All capacitors are original, with the electrolytic caps being from January 1961 (6104). ALL of the vacuum tubes are original: the Tung-Sol power tubes are in very nice shape, with 3226130 date codes. All preamp tubes are original and are either branded Sylvania or Amperex (Bugle Boy variants).
– The speaker cab, serial number L20654, contains the original Oxford 12M6-1 12″ ceramic speaker with date code 465-118.
