– For your consideration is this vintage 1958 Fender Precision Bass electric guitar bass neck.
– Removed from a player’s grade 1958 Fender P Bass, this particular maple neck appears to have been both severely broken and consequently completely refinished in clear coat many decades ago.
– While this particular skunk stripe P Bass neck is in poor condition, it is currently structurally sound and the truss rod works great.
– The neck is straight and very playable. The original frets appear to have been leveled, crowned, and polished, so when the neck was installed on the matching gold guard era alder body, the action was quite nice.
– No additional holes were added to the back of the peghead os bottom of the neck. The tuner shaft holes have not been enlarged.
– The nut was replaced with an oversized non-original plastic nut that necessitated the modification of the nut slot.
– Tuning machine ferrules are NOT included.
– Neck pencil date: 8-58.
– Neck measurements: 1.719″ nut width, .789″ neck depth at 1st fret, .970″ neck depth at 12th fret.
– Weight: 1.6 lbs.
