– For your consideration is this vintage 1953 Fender Model 5B1 Champion 600 electric guitar tube combo amplifier.
– This decent player’s example, serial number 5429, has suffered the fate of someone with spare bronze paint, though it otherwise remains incredibly original.
– It retains all of the original vintage electronic components, and sounds great. It’s a studio ready amp with focused Tweed crunch.
– The tweed cabinet remains all original, however, it was partially painted in bronze many decades ago. The tweed covering and back panel are original, and the original material remains under the paint.
– Both Triad power transformer (6500) and output transformer are original. The Cletron speaker is original as well.
– The power cable was replaced with a modern grounded 3-prong. One capacitor was recently replaced, and all other caps are original Astrons. The leather handle/handle brackets/mounting screws were replaced.
– As can be seen, the original early block logo plaque is missing.
