– For your consideration is this vintage 1938 Rickenbacher Electro Model 59 electric lap steel guitar with matching “lunch box” amplifier.
– This original matching set, serial number E1210 on the peghead, is in very nice all original condition.
– The single-knob lap steel is a relic from Rickenbacher’s 1937 Model 59, yet the original newsprint within the guitar suggests it left the Ric factory in August 1938. This is consistent with information regarding this transitional period and actually helps to refine the very moment it likely changed from a 1-knob to 2-knob design.
– The matching amp is in very nice shape and perfect working order. Having been fully serviced, it’s low-noise and studio ready.
