– For your consideration is this vintage 1958 Rudolf Buchner Model 100 4/4 violin with the original hard shell case.
– This exquisite example remains in very nice 100% all original condition. Issue-free, with no cracks and no repairs whatsoever, this is truly a wonderful specimen.
– Ringing with beautiful tone: this Buchner is surprisingly well-balanced and sweet. It projects with incredible articulation and clarity which is grounded in a robust mid-range presence.
– Finished in a highly attractive amber (or golden) varnish, the two-piece quarter-sawn maple back is of very high-quality medium figure flame which is also incredibly consistent. The maple ribs are somewhat more exotic and striking.
– The two-piece European spruce table displays a very fine and even grain pattern.
– Comprised of particularly high-grade wood variations, this violin represents the thoughtful curation of hand-picked pieces which would best contribute to the overall sound of this instrument. And while it is beautiful in appearance, it’s the sonic nature of this violin which is most stunning.
Measurements: Length of back: 356mm – Upper bout: 168mm – Center bout: 113mm Lower bout: 208mm.
– It includes a very nice era appropriate hardshell case.
