– For your consideration is this 2001 Ampeg Reverberocket R12R vintage reissue electric guitar amplifier.
– Made in the USA between 1996 through 2006, this 50w amp may look like an uncanny reproduction of a Reverberocket 1, however, it’s actually a reimagined high wattage version of Ampeg’s classic ’60s Reverberocket which produces both more output and gain than the original with a pair of EL34 power tubes.
– This very nice all original example, serial number AJFDN60044, is preserved in very nice cosmetic condition and perfect working order. The grill cloth used this era is rather fragile, so most from this series commonly display much more wear on average.
– Like the original, the late-’90s/early-’00s reissue features a 1 x 12″ speaker in a mid-sized combo cabinet, as well as, a full-size spring reverb tank. Unlike a vintage version, this amp sports a 2-channel tube preamp: one clean and one with drive. While the clean channel sounds similar to a classic and crisp Ampeg, the gain channel sounds much more Marshall-esque in nature.
– This is a perfect hybrid of both simplicity and versatility.
– Features: 50 watts, (2) EL34 power tubes, (3) 12AX7 preamp tubes, (1) 12″ Ampeg Special Design speaker, Gain/Volume/Treble/Mid/Bass/Master/Reverb controls.
-Dimensions: 24″ x 18″ x 11″
