– For your consideration is this vintage 1962 Hofner Super Solid V2 electric solidbody guitar.
– This rare all original example features; an offset solidbody design finished in red, a bolt-on slab board rosewood neck with 6-on-a-side individual open-back tuning machines, (2) Diamond logo single-coil pickups, classic Hofner double plate “flick action” console electronics, the earlier rectangular tremolo bridge mount with compensated floting bridge, and original formfit hardshell case.
– A really wonderful instrument, the low action and flatter fretboard radius make it quite a joy to play. The neck profile is very comfortable and it really plays with ease. The Diamond engraved single coil pickups sound fantastic, and overall it’s a very fun guitar.
– Neck measurements: 1.708″ nut width, .883″ depth at 1st fret, 1.004″ depth at 12th fret.
– Pickup measurements: 5.31 kOhm (bridge/lead), 5.45 kOhm (neck/rhythm).
