– This incredibly limited historic custom shop R7 model, serial number 7 01195 with an official model designation of LPR7-A, was hand-aged by Tom Murphy. It includes an original production Lifton 5-latch reissue case.
– Apparently only a small batch of R7 Les Pauls were aged by Murphy in 2001.
– This is an exceptional all original example, with the original pickguard (included) having never been installed. It includes all of the tags though it is missing the early large certificate of authenticity sheet.
– A wonderful instrument with a perfectly subtle hand relic treatment by Tom Murphy himself, this guitar happens to look far better than a normal production R7. Being from the “Good Wood” era, this Les Paul is also perfectly balanced with a wonderfully vibrant and responsive character. It’s very full range and articulate, much like an original 1957 Les Paul Goltop.
– It features a quintessential large D-shape neck profile: .915″ neck depth at 1st fret, 1.021″ neck depth at 12th fret.
