– For your consideration is this vintage 1970s Quad Eight model CA-27A discrete dual opamp card.
– This nice original example, 10 of 41 we currently have, was acquired from the Indigo Ranch Studio collection. Read below for more info about Indigo.
– “A45 RACK 7” is written on the front, which was pretty much standard procedure for Indigo to write notes on most all Indigo-owned pieces.
– Each card is a basically two AM10 opamps and can be used for a variety of utilities: mic preamp / line amp/ summing amp/ etc.
To leverage as a mic preamp, you would need to add the following:
• Input transformer (Cinemag CMQEE-3440A or something similar)
• Output transformer (quad fillar 600:600 // Jensen JE-123-S / QEE transformer or Cinemag)
• 25k reverse log pot for gain control
• +-28vdc power supply
