– For your consideration is this vintage 1965 Fender Jazz Bass vintage electric bass guitar neck.
– This very rare original pre-CBS factory custom color Lake Placid Blue matching headstock example is date stamped “JAN 65” and includes the original (4) matching Fender logo tuning machines with corresponding hardware.
– All of the finish is completely original. The LPB headstock displays incredible authentic patina. The nitrocellulose lacquer clear coat on the back of the neck is heavily worn. It feels amazing.
– This neck has been professionally refretted, during which, the Brazilian rosewood fretboard was slightly sanded. The original clay dot inlays at the 12th fret reveal the sanding, and may need to be restored.
– The original truss rod works perfectly.
– Neck measurements: 1.490″ nut width (A nut width), .738″ neck depth at 1st fret, .957″ neck depth at 12th fret.
