1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior Vintage Electric SolidBody Guitar – Original ’50s Single Cutaway LP TV Jr. ’60s Factory Refurbished, Amazing Player’s Example w/ 1957 Serial Number (7 3982)

– For your consideration is this vintage 1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior electric solidbody guitar. This is an incredible opportunity to buy a wonderful refin player’s ’50s Les Paul Jr. which is unbroken and mostly original.
– This incredible player’s example, serial number 7 3982, appears to have been factory refurbished sometime in the mid-’60s, during which it was “updated” with double-line Kluson Deluxe tuning machines, gold insert reflector top hat knobs, a 1960s chipboard case, and most revealing- a painted headstock veneer with no “Les Paul Junior” decal as Gibson no longer retained the Les Paul license. After the factory work was performed, the guitar was later refinished in a non-original TV Yellow finish.
– The guitar is structurally all original with no breaks, no cracks, no added holes, no modifications, and no repairs.
– All of the black plastic parts are vintage original parts from 1955: the pickguard, P-90 pickup cover, back cavity cover, truss rod cover, and 3-ply output jack plate (cracked) are all original.
– The stop tail studs and anchors are original, however, the uncompensated wrap around bridge is chrome and not lightweight. Both strap pins are original as we all screws .
– The original dog ear P-90 pickup is all original and sounds incredible. The pickup measures 7.76 kOHm.
– Both the volume and tone Centralab pots are original to the guitar and share 134 522 date codes. All electronics are original and untouched with perfect factory solder joints: the bumble bee capacitor is also original.
– The original Brazilian rosewood fretboard retains all original frets and the original nut. 2 of the original 10 pearloid dot inlays appear to have simply fallen out (as they notoriously shrink and the glue becomes less adhesive over decades) and were subsequently replaced with clay dots.
– The guitar weighs 7.3 lbs.
– Neck measurements: 1.685″ nut width, .886″ neck depth at 1st fret, .959″ neck depth at 12th fret.
