– This incredibly cool lawsuit era MIJ P-Bass copy, serial number 14199, is in very nice original condition and includes the original formfit chipboard case.
– With respect to vintage MIJ bass guitars, this particular example features a pretty rare confluence of desirable features and appointments. It sports; a lawsuit era Fender P Bass headstock profile, a matching light blue metallic headstock (which is like a brighter version of Lake Placid Blue or an Ice Blue Metallic), a center-seam 2-piece mahogany body, a maple cap fingerboard, gold and brass hardware, and P Bass style pickup.
– The original 3-ply black pickguard was replaced with an early Fullerton-made actual AVRI tortoise guard. The original thumbrest was relocated to be a fingerrest.
– The bass feels and plays great: low action, a very comfortable neck shape, and an incredibly accurate replica.
– Pickup measurement: 8.82 kOhm.
– Neck measurements: 1.634″ nut width, .807″ depth at 1st fret, .943″ depth at 12th fret.
