– For your consideration is this vintage 1969 Vox Tone Bender fuzz effects pedal.
– This excellent all original example is a transitional generation, just after the “Made in Italy for Thomas Organ” version, which has a black crinkle coat finish with an anodized black aluminum control plate.
– A later JEN variant, this example shares a PCB with the blue JEN FZ III fuzzbox. Both circuits read 280.054 on the circuit board. The same pedal with the same circuit was also licensed and sold by ELKA.
– This pedal features; (2) F2N 5089 transistors and (1) F S338(?) transistor.
– It works perfectly and sounds killer: producing that classic ’60s stringy distortion.
