– For your consideration is this vintage 1946 Fender “Woody” Model 26 Deluxe prototype electric guitar tube amplifier.
– This very interesting mystery model features a beautiful dark mahogany cabinet, no control panel, and an anomalous circuit with four vacuum tubes. The 3-knob/3-input layout and 10″ speaker configuration is most like a Model 26 Deluxe, however, that model always came outfitted with 5 tubes.
– It was serviced in 2010. The original caps which were replaced are included. (pictured)
– The cabinet measures 13″ tall (not including handle), 7 9/16″ deep, and 13.5″ wide. It weighs 17.3 lbs.
– Affixed to the top front of the cabinet is an era appropriate brass badge that reads “WEST POINT, The Tilben Compnay” which is believed to be an instrument distributor.
– This is a serious piece of Fender history.
